Aftercare

The spiritual support and community connection ECC makes available to participants in the days and weeks following a retreat — honoring that the work of ceremony continues long after the maloca.

Aftercare is the continuum of spiritual support and community connection that Earth Connection Community makes available to participants once a retreat has ended. It rests on the understanding that the ceremonial work does not conclude when a participant steps out of the maloca — the insights, releases, and openings that arise in ceremony continue to unfold in the days and weeks that follow, and participants deserve companionship through that unfolding rather than being left to navigate it alone.

In practice, aftercare takes several forms: check-in contact from ECC's spiritually-grounded support team, invitations to integration circles, journaling prompts and post-ceremony practices, and an ongoing sangha of fellow participants who understand the territory from the inside. This companionship walks alongside each participant's own path — including their relationship with their own medical or mental health providers, who remain a participant's source of care and treatment.

Aftercare reflects ECC's conviction that a retreat is not a single isolated event but one point along a longer spiritual path. By staying connected to participants after they return home, ECC helps ensure that what was received in ceremony has the chance to take lasting root in a participant's everyday life.
