A community member is a participant in Earth Connection Community's ceremonial life who is not a facilitator or an angel — the great majority of the ceremonial community. Community members attend ceremony, take part in the community's ongoing spiritual life, and share in the mutual support and accountability that the community covenant asks of everyone who belongs to it.
Becoming a community member follows the same intake and contraindication screening every participant undergoes, along with the sincere affirmation of spiritual purpose that ECC requires of anyone who joins its ceremonial life. Community members are not passive recipients of a service; they are participants in a shared religious tradition, with standing to deepen their practice, build relationship with facilitators and angels, and, over time, take on greater responsibility within the community if that is where their path leads.
The term distinguishes ongoing, committed participation from a single visit. A community member has entered into relationship with ECC's ceremonial community — returning across time, growing within it, and helping to sustain it for those who come after.
