Floral Bath

A ceremonial preparation of flowers and plants in water used in some Amazonian traditions as a spiritual cleanser and blessing — applied to the body as part of dieta or ceremony protocols.

A floral bath — known within the Shipibo curanderismo tradition and related Amazonian traditions as a florecimiento, or "flowering" bath — is a ceremonial preparation of flowers and other plants steeped in water and applied to the body as a spiritual cleansing and blessing. It is distinct from the ayahuasca brew itself and is not taken internally as part of ceremony.

Floral baths are traditionally prepared during a dieta, the period of fasting, isolation, and prayer through which a facilitator develops a relationship with a plant teacher. Participants may receive a floral bath as part of ECC's ceremonial protocols to support spiritual cleansing and renewal — understood within the tradition as washing away spiritual blockages, not as a cosmetic or medical treatment.
